Sometimes I find myself justifying my lifetime of writings, including my poetry, short stories, as well as a candid attempt at my novels.   I did accomplish such a desire even to the extent of self-publishing my aspirations. 

 

          My poems are the result of having lived a life not of self-gratification but the acknowledging of the surroundings within family and friends.  The acceptance of compassion and certainly the important virtues of benevolence and humility were, in my opinion, prevalent in all aspects of our generation. 

 

          Now that I read them, a recollection stirs in my memory depicting the actual time and circumstances contributing to the inspiration present at their initial writing. 

 

          The Sangre De Cristo Mountains, which in reality, make up the southwest spur of the Great Rocky Mountains, stand proud in their setting as a beautiful creation by the hand of God. Once you see the eagle in flight, the antelope in full stride, and the wolf pack in their quest for survival as well as the majestic mountains, the sound of a trickling brook, the flowers and trees swaying gently in the prevailing wind, you will marvel at the beauty of Nature - and then wonder at the splendor in its creation.

 

     This is my inspiration, my thoughts, and my desire to indelibly express man’s view of a lifetime in my generation to future generations.
